Shri J. A. Desai has been practicing Ferrocement Technology for the last 30+ years. He developed Ferrocement plates as a substitute for steel plates in 1984 — pioneering their use in water storage tanks across India.
Over the decades, he developed Ferrocement slabs, beams and columns for elevations, roofs, repairs, waterproofing, retrofitting, and inbuilt-formwork plated RCC structures. His papers have been presented at National and International seminars, workshops, and symposiums.
His applications now cover earthquake resistance, disaster resistance, fire resistance, and rainwater harvesting — making JAD Ferrocements a research-led, experimental and trusted name in the industry.
